Inching towards a new (world?) order

Like many based in the Southern Hemisphere, I have spent too many hours since January 21 not sleeping and keeping abreast and active in markets, the generational changes in the geopolitical arena, the fast-moving information flows and signals from within markets, from astute global investors, and learning from 'the crowd'.

All of this accumulated information messily builds knowledge, which, when combined with experience, a resolute commitment to continue to learn, and an open mind, feeds into our perceptions (subjective) and perspectives (objective) of what is happening at the macro level of economies and financial markets.

Most importantly, how that can impact portfolio positioning and investment recommendations for wealth preservation and absolute capital creation. It also saves time reading mainstream (mis)comments on what actually happened!!

If you don't love what you do, keeping such hours with the excitement and adrenaline I have enjoyed during these day and night hours would be very hard, if not impossible. Having networks where I am able to chat and talk with those who are doing the same or are based in different locations around the world makes this truly an enjoyable and productive work-from-anywhere model, not a work-from-home model.
